Birthday Celebration Shoe Box Swap

Today several of my friends and I gathered to celebrate birthdays. We played a game called Left, Right, Center. What a fun game. Thanks Faith for sharing it.

We had a great lunch and dessert.

One of the best parts of our celebration is our shoe box swap. A shoe box swap is when each person brings a project with everything all ready for everyone to make.

This was my project.

It features an adorable stamp set, Cheap Talk, along with Kind Thanks.

My club members will recognize this as one of our March projects.

Shoe box Swap Projects

Here are some of the shoe box swap projects that I was able to make.

Cathy's project features a Layered Brayer Technique using the Stitched Exotics and Kind Thanks stamp set.

Fairle's project used the Just Beachy and

Define your Life stamp sets

Norma brought this adorable flower pot project.

It uses Stampin' Up! Cherry Blossom embosslits and Little Leaves Sizzlits dies. It also features our new Scallop Oval punch.

More Shoe Box Swap projects

Here's some more Shoe Box Swaps.

Lorrie used the Bag with Scallops Bigz xl and Flower Blossom sizzlits dies to create this cute candy bag.

In Debbie's project we used the Kind Thoughts Flourish Decor Stencil found on page 23 of the Decor Element brochure

Stencils don't have to be just for walls. You can use them to decorate cards, table cloths, photo albums and more.

This one is Anna's. We used the
Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper, Oval All stamp set, Grommet hardware and Scallop Oval Punch featured in the Occasion mini catalog.

We even stamped the inside of the card with the Great Friend stamp set.

 LOvE it! What great projects

Flowers over the fence

Last night while over at Lorries, stamping into the wee hours. Debbie shows me a card. It was one her sister sent her a while ago. It had retired stamps on it, but it was a great idea that totally inspired me.

I looked around the room and saw the perfect set to use. Best Wishes & More.

The fence is created using stamping a piece of Creamy Caramel card stock with the Sanded Background stamp using Close to Cocoa Classic Ink then punch out the smaller tag punch and sponge around the edge using Close to Cocoa Classic Ink

I LOvE it! Just totally neat.

Thanks Debbie and your sister, too for sending it to you!

The Just Buzzin' By stamp set is one of my favorites. It can be used any occasion. The little bees are so cute.

Raspberry Tart Thanks Purse

In my Super Sunday class we made this cute little Thanks purse.
To create this cute purse you start out with 2 Mini Square envelope. The inside of the envelopes will become your pockets to place a cute little card. Using many pieces of card stock you cover almost all of the envelopes. This will give the purse some substance.
I choose the Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper to layer over the coordinating colors of card stock, Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red and Cameo Coral
I also used some Regal Rose card stock
With the assistance of the Sweet Stems and Thank You Kindly stamp sets I was able to creatively decorate the purse.
Using an oval (Ovals Sizzix Die) as a back drop I put this flower cut from some Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper.

What a great way to tell some one Thank you!

Simply Said

Here is a simple card made with the Simply Said stamp set.

I saw it on Stamper's Showcase, a resource available to all Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.

I basically cased the card adding some Silver brads.

Having many project ideas available to us, is just one of the nice benefits of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

If you would like to find out more about becoming a Demonstrator or hobbyist with Demonstrator benefits please contact me at ginadygert@yahoo.com or visit My Join Stampin' Up! page to get more information www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/ginascardsandmore/join.

I can't thank you enough card

Here is another Thank you card using Parisian Summer DSP and Flight of the Butterfly.

Occasionally, I like to cut out stamped images.
Honestly, it's more like ALL of the time.

To help this butterfly pop off the page I used a strip of mono adhesive in the center then placed
stampin' dimensionals on each side of the adhesive. I made sure to attach the center of the butterfly first allowing the wings to fall naturally on the page.

To give a different feel to this card I put the stamped image inside the card and punched a window with the Scallop Square. It works best if you punch thru one layer at a time.

I stamped this Say it with Scallops image twice.
Punching one out with the scallop square and the other using the 3/4 " square punch I punched out the words. I  place a 7/8" square of Pink Pirouette on top of the bottom layer.
A Stampin' Dimensional adheres the words so they will pop from the paper.

Butterfly Thanks Card

Most people view Designer Series Paper(DSP) for scrapbooking only. It can also be used in card making. In the catalog you will see below each DSP there are coordinating colors. These colors help you to know what colors of ink and card stock go along with each.

This is the Parisian Summer DSP. It is on the retiring accessories list, available while supplies last.

The coordinating colors are Pirouette Pink, So Saffron, Bravo Burgundy and Sahara Sand.

I also used some Very Vanilla along with the Flight of the Butterfly  and Thank You Kindly Stamp Sets to create this card.

Thank you for your friendship

Loads of Love makes nice cards. I have enjoyed creating with this stamp set.
This month while supplies last you can purchase a single large aqua painter(click on 20% off birthday set on left side of this  BLOG). The aqua painter makes watercoloring a snap.

Scallop Square Thank you

Stampin' Up! designs an exclusive stamp set every year to help raise money for
Ronald McDonald House Charities(RMHC). This year the set is Say it with Scallops. When you purchase this stamp set, Stampin' Up! donates $2 to RMHC. Stampin' Up! has contributed nearly $700,000 to date. To see the full stamp set click on the RMHC symbol on the left side of my blog page. If you would like to order this or other stamp sets please contact me or go to my Stampin' Up! Website where you can place an On-line order.

Here is a simple card, using the RMHC stamp set Say It with Scallops. It is a very nice way to say thank you. I stamped the image twice. Punched out one with the scallop square punch then the second with the 3/4" square punch on the words then attached it with a dimensional to make the thanks pop out.

Thank you Card

As part of a task, I created this card.  I copied the layout but changed 0ut the stamp set and colors.
I tried to do something a little different from my own personal taste and see what I thought.  I really like the Upsy Daisy stamp set. I wiped off (using a baby wipe) part of the inked image before stamping it.

Thanks a Bunch goodie bag

Yes it is a SOCK MONKEY goodie bag

If you haven't yet seen the new Fall/ Winter Idea Book & Catalog, Stampin' Up! has a cute Sock Monkey stamp set. He even has accessories. You can find him on page 51.

I stamped him several times on Bella Rose Designer Paper, Natural White and Riding Hood Red card stock. Then cut him out and pieced him together. You can buy these bananas either thru a specialty candy store or pick out all the bananas from a box of runts.
