You're a HOOT!

Here's a cute candy holder that was done a while back.

It uses the Sizzix Top Note and Scallop Circle Die

For the eyes you use circle punches and the beak is made from the 5 Petal punch cutting off one petal.

Just too cute

To get the feather look I used a leaf stamp from Lovely As a Tree stamp set

The words "you're a hoot" are from the Owl Together Now stamp set.

Penguin Treats

I took a penguin (made like the Penguin Magnet) and I glued a Small Flat cellophane bag of Swedish Fish  with a Top Note folded over and stapled  closed  onto the back to make a cute treat bag.

Have a honey of a day!

What a sweet treat bag.

This project uses the Just Buzzin' by stamp set

This treat bag requires a little bit of work. The image of the bee and honey pot were stamped several times and cut out, layer it all for some depth.

Some Dazzlin Diamond Glitter adorns the bee's wings. While Crystal Effects gives the honey a realistic look as it oozes out of the pot. I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the words just where I wanted them.

Necco Candy Box Holder

With  a little stamping  and a little paper crafting I created this Necco Candy Box Holder. The image is from a Happy Heart stamp set. This beautiful outline image was stamped in Basic Black which is a water proof ink, allowing me to water color with a little ink and  aquapainter.

When you pull up on the taffeta ribbon it pulls the candy up. It is very easy to recreate this.
-Punch a slot with the slot punch on the front and back.
-Insert ribbon thru then put candy box in pushing down on ribbon until candy box is push in all the way.
-Tie a knot at the top and then a bow.
-Cut the ends of your ribbon. and Voila, it is complete.

Hugs & Kisses Candy Box

Using the new Sizzix Box Die now available thru my Stampin' Up! website: www.ginascardsandmore.stampinup.net I created this cute box. Before putting it together I stamped the three hearts from the Love You Much Stamp set to create a designer box. Then I cut a strip of Candy Lane Designer Series Paper to go all the way around the box. Hiding the seam I used the hugs and kisses stamped several times and punch out with various punches. I wrapped each Hershey nugget candy with some Candy Lane Paper to give it a matching look.

Parasol Candy Dish

In my Quest for new ideas, I stumbled on a candy dish made from a piece of paper.

It looked like the paper was folded like that fortune teller game we made as kids, but turned upside down.

What an AWESOME idea!

I made mine from a 10" x 10" sheet of the new Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper, to be available with the release of the new Idea Book & Catalog on January 19th.

I used a new set Petal Pizzazz to stamp the top of my Parasol. I stamped the image 3 times to give the end a little bit of a different dimension.

Directions to fold paper into fortune teller came from http://www.yasutomo.com/project/fortuneteller.html

Jolliest Time of Year Candy holder

It is a great time of year. A time to let people know you appreciate them.

What better way than with chocolate.
I made these candy holders to share with friends, teachers, bus drivers and more.

To make this you need a 2-3/4" x 8-1/2" piece that you score at 3", 6", 6-1/2", 7-1/4", 7-3/4".

Using the Word window punch on the section between 7-1/4" and 7-3/4" just a little more than once side by side.

Glue section to make small box to place candy in.

In the past I have used a glue dot to seal it shut, but this time I tied gold elastic cord thru the open box, so the flap would slide in behind the bow.

Holiday Line Up Milk Carton container

What an adorable design! I love the idea of making and decorating milk cartons and putting them in a container to give out as a gift.

This pattern is adorable. I think the Holiday Line up is the perfect stamp set to make this with project. I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig and masking technique to line up the snowman so they would go the entire length of the container. Each of these milk cartons opens from the bottom so you dont have to ruin the carton to get the candy out. I wheeled each piece with the jumbo snow wheel. Then using the Scallop circle you can make a cute tag for each carton.

Penguin Twisting Box Head

Today my youngest son Jonathan wanted to make a paper craft. He definitely had his heart set on making a twisting box head, but had to decide what to design on it. He thought about a penguin, then a polar bear and even a cow, but decided he really wanted a cute penguin.
His first search of a picture, he was able to really see the ideas. Our neighbor Kris suggested looking up Happy feet. We sponged the dark area and colored in the rest with markers.
So this Penguin head is suppose to be Mumble from Happy Feet.
What do you think?

Winter Buddies

Winter Buddies made from punches. Each
Little guy holds a candy nugget. You start out with a base of 1-1/2" x 5", scoring at 2" and 3" and round the corners.

The Scarves for the Polar Bears are made from 3 separate strips of paper. The first is folded to fit under the circle of the head and the other two are for the flappy ends.

Halloween Treats

With Halloween drawing near I am always looking for great ways to decorate candy or candy boxes.

The spider has a peppermint patty between the layers. It is made using scallop punch, circle punches and photo corner punch.

The mummy is made from the Sizzix Top note and Circle punches. It is the front of a candy box.

Halloween Boxes & Baskets

In my looking for new ways to use the Sizzix Die cuts, I discovered cute boxes and baskets were being made
with the Bigz Scallop Envelope

I just had to try it out for myself.

Since Halloween is the next major holiday I couldn't resist making them into Halloween goodie holders.

Thanks a Bunch goodie bag

Yes it is a SOCK MONKEY goodie bag

If you haven't yet seen the new Fall/ Winter Idea Book & Catalog, Stampin' Up! has a cute Sock Monkey stamp set. He even has accessories. You can find him on page 51.

I stamped him several times on Bella Rose Designer Paper, Natural White and Riding Hood Red card stock. Then cut him out and pieced him together. You can buy these bananas either thru a specialty candy store or pick out all the bananas from a box of runts.
